Relationship Between Carpal Bone Morphology and Distal Radius Fracture Pattern

Abstract
 Background: In this study, we examined whether carpal bones (lunate, hamate, capitate) morphologies and fourth metecarp-capitate articulation have an effect on the distal radius fracture pattern.
 
 Methods: 206 patients who applied to emergency department with between 2016-2020 were included in study. Preoperative pre-reduction x-ray films of examined. Lunate, capitate 4.metacarp analyzed classified. Distal types classified according AO Fernandez. The relationship bone morphology type was analyzed.
 Results: This study consisted 101 men 103 women. (lunate joint Viegas, lunate Zapico, morphology, hamate capitate-4 metacarpal morphology) did not differ significantly (p > 0.05). Fernandez hamatum capitate-4.metacarp compared, there no significant difference 0.05).
 Conclusion: As a result, clear could be demonstrated pattern.
